I experienced the worst pain of my life in February of this year.
Two herniated discs (L4 and L5) and some pretty extensive nerve damage down my legs.
After the surgery I was having nightmares, waking up crying, and essentially miserable. I felt isolated, alone, and useless. One day I drew myself both in pain and recovering. Surprisingly, it really seemed to help. Mix that with the support of my friends and family and my wonderful physical therapist, I am recovering faster than most.
